- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the bananas in a bowl and stir in melted butter.
- Add sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla and mix well.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Stir dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
- Flour a surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and bake 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth for the frosting.
- Let rolls cool slightly and spread frosting on top before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half the sugar with applesauce and use low-fat cream cheese.
