Description

A flavorful seafood boil perfect for sharing with friends and family, featuring shrimp, crab, and flavorful spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb jumbo shrimp
  • 1 lb crab
  • 1 lb andouille sausage
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 ears corn on the cob
  • 3 tbsp cajun spices
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and heat until it boils, then add cajun spices.
  2. Add potatoes and cook until they are almost tender.
  3. Add andouille sausage and cook for five minutes.
  4. Add corn and cook for another five minutes.
  5. Add jumbo shrimp and crab and cook until shrimp turn pink and crab is heated through.
  6. In a small pan melt butter and add minced garlic until fragrant.
  7. Drain the pot well and transfer the seafood, sausage, potatoes, and corn to a large tray or table sheet.
  8. Drizzle the garlic butter over the hot mix.
  9. Set out hard boiled eggs on the side and serve the boil hot for people to dig in.

Notes

For variations, swap andouille sausage for smoked sausage or use frozen crab legs. Serve with crusty bread or a fresh salad on the side.
