Description

A simple yet delightful lemon dessert layered with Maria cookies and whipped cream.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1216 Maria cookies (or any similar cookies)

Instructions

  1. Combine the lime juice and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl and mix until smooth.
  2. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until it holds stiff peaks.
  3. Fold the whipped cream into the lime mixture until smooth and even.
  4. Place a layer of Maria cookies in the bottom of your serving dish.
  5. Spread a layer of the lime cream over the cookies.
  6. Repeat layers until you use all the cookies and cream, ending with cream on top.
  7. Cover the dish and chill in the fridge for at least 240 minutes until set.
  8. Slice or spoon the Carlota of Lemon and serve it chilled.

Notes

For a lighter dessert, consider swapping half the heavy cream for Greek yogurt. Taste and adjust sweetness to preference.
