Description
A simple yet delightful lemon dessert layered with Maria cookies and whipped cream.
Ingredients

- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 12–16 Maria cookies (or any similar cookies)
Instructions
- Combine the lime juice and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl and mix until smooth.
- Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until it holds stiff peaks.
- Fold the whipped cream into the lime mixture until smooth and even.
- Place a layer of Maria cookies in the bottom of your serving dish.
- Spread a layer of the lime cream over the cookies.
- Repeat layers until you use all the cookies and cream, ending with cream on top.
- Cover the dish and chill in the fridge for at least 240 minutes until set.
- Slice or spoon the Carlota of Lemon and serve it chilled.
Notes
For a lighter dessert, consider swapping half the heavy cream for Greek yogurt. Taste and adjust sweetness to preference.
