- 1 cup sweet cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup espresso, cooled
- 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
- 1 package ladyfingers
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Whisk mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Whip heavy cream to soft peaks.
- Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mix.
- Mix cooled espresso and amaretto in a shallow dish.
- Dip each ladyfinger briefly in the espresso mix.
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in your dish.
- Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Scatter half the chopped cherries over the cream.
- Add a second layer of dipped ladyfingers on top.
- Spread the remaining mascarpone mixture over the second layer.
- Top with the rest of the chopped cherries.
- Cover the dish and chill for at least 240 minutes.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
Notes
Allow the tiramisu to chill overnight for the best texture. Add cocoa powder right before serving to keep it fresh.
