Description

A bold and quick chicken recipe that combines flavorful spices with the bright taste of lime.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix chili powder, brown sugar, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Rub the spice mix onto the chicken breasts.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the chicken 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned.
  6. Transfer chicken to a baking dish and pour in chicken broth and lime juice.
  7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F and is cooked through.
  8. Let the chicken rest a few minutes, then garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

Check the thickest part of the breast with a thermometer. Rest the meat five minutes so juices settle. Taste and add more salt or lime if needed.
