Description
A warm, bright meal of chicken koftas served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce, perfect for quick family dinners.
Ingredients

- 500 grams ground chicken
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Put the ground chicken in a large bowl.
- Add the chopped onion.
- Add the minced garlic.
- Add the parsley.
- Add the cumin.
- Add the coriander.
- Add the salt and black pepper.
- Mix the meat mix well with clean hands.
- Shape the mix into small oval koftas.
- Preheat the grill and brush it with oil.
- Place the koftas on the hot grill.
- Turn the koftas now and then as they brown.
- Grill for about 10 to 12 minutes until cooked through.
- Put the yogurt in a small bowl.
- Add the lemon juice and a pinch of salt to the yogurt.
- Stir the yogurt mix until smooth.
- Serve the koftas with the garlic yogurt sauce on the side.
Notes
For a healthier version, you can swap half the chicken with finely chopped mushrooms. Use low-fat yogurt if desired.
