Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries (or cranberry sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form a crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Add 1 cup sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low until just combined.
  6. Stir in sour cream, orange juice, and orange zest until smooth.
  7. Fold in cranberries.
  8. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  9. Bake for 55-60 minutes until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  10. Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Serve chilled, optionally garnished with additional cranberries or orange slices.

Notes

Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature for a creamy texture. Don’t overmix once you add the eggs to avoid cracks.
