Delicious meatballs made in a crockpot, infused with the savory flavors of French onion soup.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet French onion soup mix
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs.
- Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and French onion soup mix.
- Pour the broth mixture over the onions.
- Place the meatballs on top of the broth and onions.
- Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve with a sprinkle of parsley.
Notes
For a lighter option, use lean ground turkey or chicken. Add chopped spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
