- 4 cups frozen hash browns
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup cornflakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- If using, crush the cornflakes and sprinkle them evenly over the top of the potato mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are heated through.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
To ensure the potatoes are perfect, don’t overbake. If the top browns too quickly, cover lightly with foil. Mix ingredients thoroughly for the best flavor.
