Ingredients

- 4 cups of bread cubes
- 2 cups of eggnog
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.
- In the greased baking dish, combine the bread cubes and pour the eggnog mixture over them, pressing the bread to soak fully.
- Let it sit for 15-20 minutes to absorb the mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until set and golden brown on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, use whole grain bread and low-fat or dairy-free eggnog. Adding fresh fruits like berries or bananas enhances freshness.
