Description
Rich and smooth espresso chocolate truffles, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons espresso or strong coffee
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and espresso until it just begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth and completely melted.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then refrigerate until firm, about 60-120 minutes.
- Once firm, use a melon baller or small scoop to form balls from the mixture.
- Roll the truffles in cocoa powder to coat.
- Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
For a healthier version, use dark chocolate with a higher cocoa content or substitute coconut cream for heavy cream for a dairy-free option. Always let the truffles cool completely before rolling.
