Description

Rich and smooth espresso chocolate truffles, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons espresso or strong coffee
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and espresso until it just begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth and completely melted.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool, then refrigerate until firm, about 60-120 minutes.
  4. Once firm, use a melon baller or small scoop to form balls from the mixture.
  5. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder to coat.
  6. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

For a healthier version, use dark chocolate with a higher cocoa content or substitute coconut cream for heavy cream for a dairy-free option. Always let the truffles cool completely before rolling.
