Description

Fluffy and slightly crisp bagels made with Greek yogurt for a quick breakfast option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt and self-rising flour until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough briefly on a floured surface and divide it into four equal pieces.
  4. Shape each piece into a bagel by forming a ring.
  5. Place bagels on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Brush each bagel with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or seasoning if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Dough should be sticky but manageable; add more flour if too wet. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
