Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Sirloin steak (Cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 pound Large shrimp (Peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (For marinating)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (Melted)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (Chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt (For seasoning the sauce)

Instructions

  1. Cut the sirloin into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.
  2. Add olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the steak and mix.
  3. Let the steak marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  5. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the butter and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  7. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
  8. Thread the marinated steak and shrimp onto skewers, alternating the pieces.
  9. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before threading.
  10. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  11. Place the skewers on the grill and cook about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  12. Turn the skewers once or twice so the steak cooks evenly and the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  13. Remove the skewers from the grill when the steak reaches your desired doneness and the shrimp is cooked.
  14. Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the skewers before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use lean sirloin and substitute half the butter with extra-virgin olive oil. Add vegetables like bell pepper or zucchini on the skewers for added flavor.
