Description

Crispy on the outside and soft inside, these Hashbrown Sausage Bites are perfect for breakfast or as a party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the hashbrowns, sausage, cheese, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Take small portions and flatten them into bite-sized patties.
  4. Fry the patties about 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
  5. Drain the cooked bites on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

For a healthier version, swap half the sausage for cooked turkey or use reduced-fat cheese. Bake at 425°F for 15 to 20 minutes instead of frying.
