Description

Fluffy & Healthy Greek Yogurt Bagels made with just four simple ingredients. A protein-packed, quick, and customizable recipe perfect for breakfast or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (thick consistency recommended)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional toppings & mix-ins: everything bagel seasoning, 2 tsp cinnamon, shredded cheese, garlic & herbs, chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in cinnamon if making a sweet version.
  3. Add Greek yogurt and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead gently on a floured surface for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces. Shape into bagels by either rolling into a rope and connecting ends or forming a ball, flattening, and poking a hole in the center.
  5. Place bagels on prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with desired toppings.
  6. Bake 22–25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Use thick Greek yogurt for best texture. Don’t over-knead to keep bagels fluffy. Egg wash gives shine and helps toppings stick.
