Description

A simple and flavorful guacamole recipe perfect for snacks or as a side dish for main courses.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add lime juice, onion, tomatoes, garlic, and salt to the bowl.
  3. Mash the ingredients together with a fork or potato masher until you reach the texture you like.
  4. Mix in chopped cilantro if you want the fresh herb flavor.
  5. Taste and add a little more salt or lime if needed.
  6. Serve right away with chips, tortillas, or fresh veg.

Notes

For lower sodium version, cut back on the salt and use extra lime. To boost veggies, add diced cucumber or finely grated carrot.
