Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb smoked chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into rounds
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage slices and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet. Add cubed sweet potatoes, season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 10–12 minutes until tender.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return sausage to the skillet. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir gently to coat everything.
- Simmer 2–3 minutes until the glaze thickens and caramelizes.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Use a large, heavy-bottomed skillet (preferably cast-iron) for best browning and caramelization. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
