Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage slices and brown on both sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet. Add cubed sweet potatoes, season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 10–12 minutes until tender.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Return sausage to the skillet. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir gently to coat everything.
  5. Simmer 2–3 minutes until the glaze thickens and caramelizes.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Use a large, heavy-bottomed skillet (preferably cast-iron) for best browning and caramelization. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
