- 1 pizza dough (12–14 inches, store-bought or homemade)
- 8 oz hot sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup tomato or pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Fresh arugula or spinach (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and heat your pizza stone if you’re using one.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a 12–14 inch circle.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and bake for 5 minutes to firm it slightly.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Scatter the cooked sausage evenly on top.
- Add crumbled feta cheese.
- Optionally, sprinkle red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning over everything.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 10–15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let the pizza cool briefly, then drizzle honey over the hot pie.
- Garnish with fresh arugula or spinach if desired.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider using turkey sausage or adding more veggies. For best results, use a pizza stone and preheat it before baking.
