Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 chicken sausages, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced chicken sausage and brown it in the skillet.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for one minute.
  4. Add orzo pasta and pour in chicken broth, then bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover the skillet, and simmer for ten minutes.
  6. Add broccoli florets, cover, and cook five more minutes until orzo and broccoli are tender.
  7. Stir in grated parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper, then serve warm.
