Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons shawarma spice blend
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Yogurt sauce for topping (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Cook the chopped onion until soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for one minute.
  4. Add the cubed chicken and shawarma spice and brown the chicken.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Stir in the cooked rice, lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes
