- 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring; mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cookie bars to cool completely in the pan.
- For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled cookie bars.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
You can add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor and texture. Let the cookie bars cool completely before frosting for the best results.
