  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Oreo cookie chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Stir in the vanilla and red food coloring.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chips and Oreo cookie chunks.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can substitute some of the butter with unsweetened applesauce for a healthier version, and use whole wheat flour for added nutrients.
