Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot.
- Blanch green beans for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Drain beans and transfer to an ice water bath.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Toss in the blanched green beans and coat with garlic butter.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add lemon juice for brightness, if desired.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter option, use olive oil instead of butter, or vegetable broth for a vegan version. Avoid overcooking the green beans to maintain their crispness.
