Description

Deliciously soft and chewy oatmeal raisin cookies that provide a warm, comforting flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Cream the softened butter with the brown and granulated sugars until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Add the dry mix to the wet mix until combined.
  6. Stir in oats and raisins until even.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Let cookies cool on the sheet a few minutes, then move to wire racks.

Notes

To keep cookies soft, store in an airtight container with a slice of bread.
