- 1 lb sausage (Italian or your choice)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup bell peppers (sliced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and cook until soft.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the sausage and peppers, stirring to coat.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Brown the sausage well for better flavor. Save a little pasta water if the sauce seems tight; a splash loosens it. Taste and adjust salt after adding soy sauce to avoid excess saltiness.
