Ingredients

  • 1 package store-bought puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into heart shapes.
  3. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on each pastry heart.
  5. Slice strawberries and arrange them on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a heart shape.
  7. Brush the edges with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
