Ingredients
- Puff pastry
- Fresh strawberries
- Whipping cream, sweetened with icing sugar
- Strawberry jam
- White cocoa syrup
- Icing sugar for sprinkling
- Melted chocolate for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut out your desired shapes.
- If using rectangles, halve the pastry to ensure you have two pieces for each puff.
- Brush the tops of the pastry with egg wash.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden and puffed up, about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Slice the puff pastry shapes open carefully.
- Spoon 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam inside each piece.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the cream with icing sugar and white cocoa syrup until soft peaks form.
- Pipe the whipped cream over the jam filling.
- Top with freshly sliced strawberries.
- Close the pastry top over the filling.
- Dust with icing sugar.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
Notes
For a healthier twist, use whole wheat puff pastry or Greek yogurt instead of whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.
