Ingredients

- 1 package of croissant dough
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- Optional filling (chocolate, caramel, or cream cheese)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
- Roll out the croissant dough and cut it into triangles.
- If using a filling, place a small amount at the base of each triangle.
- Roll the triangles from the base to the tip to form a cruffin.
- Place the cruffins in a muffin tin or on a baking sheet.
- If frying, heat oil in a pan and fry until golden brown.
- If baking, place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Roll the warm cruffins in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy your churro cruffins!
Notes
For a lighter touch, bake instead of fry and use less butter. Store in an airtight box to keep them fresh.
