Description

Delightful churro cruffins that are warm, sweet, and easy to make, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of croissant dough
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • Optional filling (chocolate, caramel, or cream cheese)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
  2. Roll out the croissant dough and cut it into triangles.
  3. If using a filling, place a small amount at the base of each triangle.
  4. Roll the triangles from the base to the tip to form a cruffin.
  5. Place the cruffins in a muffin tin or on a baking sheet.
  6. If frying, heat oil in a pan and fry until golden brown.
  7. If baking, place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  8. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  9. Roll the warm cruffins in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy your churro cruffins!

Notes

For a lighter touch, bake instead of fry and use less butter. Store in an airtight box to keep them fresh.
