Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For a healthier version, swap half of the butter for coconut oil and use coconut sugar instead of brown sugar.
