Description

Crispy shrimp coated in a spicy, tangy sauce that’s perfect for sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Freshly chopped cilantro, for garnish
  • 4 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 4 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sriracha
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 tsp honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the panko bread crumbs, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Whisk the eggs in a second shallow bowl until well combined.
  4. Place the flour in a third bowl.
  5. Coat each shrimp in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the panko mixture using tongs.
  6. Arrange the coated shrimp on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake the shrimp for 13 to 15 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden.
  8. Whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and honey in a medium bowl while the shrimp are baking.
  9. Drizzle the Bang Bang Sauce over the baked shrimp and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider broiling the shrimp for the last few minutes but watch closely!
