Ingredients

  • 1 package brownie mix (use additional ingredients as directed on the package)
  • 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling on top)
  • Whipped cream (for serving)
  • Chocolate shavings (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Prepare brownie batter per the package directions.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the pan.
  5. Bake the brownies as the package says.
  6. Cool the brownie base completely.
  7. Reduce the oven to 325°F.
  8. Beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  9. Add vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and heavy cream and mix until smooth.
  10. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie base.
  11. Drizzle half the caramel over the cheesecake.
  12. Swirl the caramel gently with a knife or toothpick.
  13. Bake for 75 minutes until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  14. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside the oven for one hour.
  15. Remove the cheesecake and cool to room temperature.
  16. Chill the cheesecake at least 4 hours or overnight.
  17. Top with whipped cream, extra caramel, and chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

For a more dramatic marbling, add extra caramel in thin ribbons and swirl less to keep clear streaks. Use a hot knife for clean slices.
