  • 1 box vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients called for on box
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Pinch kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan with butter, then dust a thin layer of flour.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Pour one-third of the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  5. Sprinkle an even layer of cinnamon sugar over the batter.
  6. Pour another one-third of the batter on top, followed by another layer of cinnamon sugar.
  7. Top with the remaining batter.
  8. Use a butter knife to gently swirl through the batter to create pretty swirls.
  9. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a cooling rack.
  11. While the cake cools, whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and a pinch of salt for the glaze.
  12. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and let it set for 10 minutes before slicing.

For healthier options, consider using a sugar substitute for the glaze or substituting Greek yogurt for cream cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
