- 1 box vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients called for on box
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- Pinch kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan with butter, then dust a thin layer of flour.
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions in a large bowl.
- Stir in cinnamon until well combined.
- Pour one-third of the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
- Sprinkle an even layer of cinnamon sugar over the batter.
- Pour another one-third of the batter on top, followed by another layer of cinnamon sugar.
- Top with the remaining batter.
- Use a butter knife to gently swirl through the batter to create pretty swirls.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a cooling rack.
- While the cake cools, whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and a pinch of salt for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and let it set for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For healthier options, consider using a sugar substitute for the glaze or substituting Greek yogurt for cream cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
