Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 8 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  4. Layer the ham and Swiss cheese over the bottom half.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top half of the rolls.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls on the filling and brush with any remaining butter mixture.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and melty.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter option, use low-fat cheese or turkey instead of ham, and olive oil in place of butter.
