- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 8 slices of ham
- 8 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Layer the ham and Swiss cheese over the bottom half.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top half of the rolls.
- Place the top half of the rolls on the filling and brush with any remaining butter mixture.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and melty.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For a lighter option, use low-fat cheese or turkey instead of ham, and olive oil in place of butter.
