- 1 lb Ground Beef (or Sirloin Tips)
- 12 oz Pasta (Penne, Fusilli, or Bowtie)
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 5 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Beef Broth
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no pink remains.
- Drain any excess grease and remove the beef from the pan; set it aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and the butter looks slightly golden.
- Whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens a bit.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Add the cooked beef and the pasta back into the skillet.
- Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan, then serve right away.
Notes
Use fresh garlic and Parmesan for the best flavor. To store, cool quickly and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
