- 8 slices of bread
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture on 4 slices of bread.
- Top the cream cheese spread with sliced strawberries.
- Place the remaining bread slices on top to form sandwiches.
- Set up a breading station: put flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
- Dip each sandwich first in the flour, then in the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs until coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
These sandwiches are best served warm. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate sauce for an extra treat.
