Description

A warm, rich, and creamy pasta dish that combines tender chicken and a delicious parmesan sauce for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions and drain it.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden and done.
  5. Remove the chicken and set it aside while you make the sauce.
  6. Add the garlic to the same skillet and cook for about 30 seconds.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream and bring the mix to a simmer.
  8. Stir in the parmesan until it melts and the sauce gets thicker.
  9. Slice the chicken and put it back in the skillet.
  10. Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat with the sauce.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, try using half-and-half or a mix of milk and cream. You can also use whole grain pasta for added fiber.
